A free class called Parenting with Love and Logic will be offered to parents and grandparents of children ages 1 to 7 this September. The class is hosted by the Clay Counts Coalition and Little Learners Childhood Connections.
The class will meet four times: on September 4, 11, 18, and 25, at the Little Learners Conference Room, 314 Court Street, Clay Center.
The teacher is Kayla Chaffee. She has a degree in elementary education and a master’s in curriculum and instruction. She has been a certified Love and Logic trainer since 2005 and has helped many families in Clay Center and nearby communities.
This class is based on the popular book Parenting with Love and Logic by Foster Cline and Jim Fay. The book teaches parents how to raise responsible, respectful kids by using empathy and firm boundaries—without anger or lectures.
